Hi
I would like to simulate co2 absorption with 30% wt MEA in aspen hysys but i have some problems.
I dont have any information about solvent flow or number of stages and i should calculate them.
I need equilibrium data, right?
I found the equilibrium solubility of CO2 in 30% wt MEA at 40°C, but the data are on CO2 loading that means mol co2/mol MEA, not X in equilibrium curve (X means mole ratio of solute to solut-free absorbent in the liquid).
How i can solve that?

Right, but in order to build curve in addition to mol CO2/mol MEA you should have partial pressure of CO2 in each data point.

Yes, all data that i found are based on partial pressure of CO2 VS CO2 loading.
For calculating minimum absorbent flow, i need Y Vs X diagram.
I can calculate y and then Y from partial pressure but i dont know how to calculate X from co2 loading

You need take assumption about composition MEA solution that include (MEA, CO2, H2O....) by weight and go to mol via m/Mr. If you know mol CO2/mol MEA you can define mole CO2 in MEA solution (X).

Difine number state by real plate or number section packing. Then supply detail configuration of tower because with amine system , hysys use detail configuration of tower to calculate
