Dear all,

i am doing PSV calc, for gas reliving case  the highest discharge area i.e P. now i have to do line sizing for inlet and outlet based on this flowrate.

PSV set pressure is 6.7 barg.

PSV relieves to LP flare.

i know that for oulet line total BP should be less than 10% of set pressure,

my question is: what is outlet Pressure which i should put in "Isothermal flow" in systool in order to find inlet pressure?

many thanks,

Hi,

Can you please clarify your question again since the PSV inlet line sizing is done considering the 3 % non-recoverable inlet pressure losses based on PSV rated capacity. Outline line sizing is done by checking the PSV backpressure and mach number, you need to specify the Q-P curve of your flare tip in the simulator you are using.
