Hi All,

Please could you assist me in clearing up a sizing query...

I have a PSV on an air receiver:

Set pressure: 19 barg

Orifice: 0.212''²

Operating temperature: 70°F

I am not sure if this valve is the original that came with the equipment or has been changed out for something that just fit (before the time I came here).

I have used the Emerson PRV² SIZE software and it says I can use an Anderson Greenwood 81P with a -4 (0.049''²) orifice.

I'm getting a little confused, can you please help me.

Thanks

Bev

Hi ,

Consider the documents attached . Make sure you  understand the scenario leading to the design of the PSV and ask support from your supervisor , serious business.

hope this is helping you.

Hi,

Normally, the PSV on air receiver is sized for fire case, you need to know the vessel size and material, insulation and heigh. the PSV sizing can be done with this online tools as well.
