I plan to transfer LNG - 104 oC. The challenge is piping is about 6km and insulation has to be thick (150mm). still insulation vendor cannot guaranteed that it can above - 100 oC at the end of destination or the receiver . Probably - 95 oC something and that temperature is cannot be accepted. Should i consider new chiller before the receiver? Any other experience on the long pipeline for liquid cryogenic transfer? Any suggestions for the insulation? Currently i used the best insulation material which is crogel that better compared to foam glass.

Hi Farid,

Let you try to get a copy of this book written by Alireza Bahadori .

Thermal insulation handbook for the Oil , Gas and Petrochemicals Industries ,

dedicated chapter about LNG :Cryogenic insulation system for LNG Industries

It's worth to have a look together with the use of  your favorite engine .

Hope this is helping you.

Breizh
