Hi Everyone,

I would like to get more references on the considerations of the values of relative roughness when performing hydraulic pressure drop calculations for existing piping/pipeline systems. Many state that 10 times the new pipe's relative roughness to be considered... Any other thoughts?

Hi ,

In the document attached , you will find some data about absolute roughness. on page 2.

the figures are  quite standard .

Probably you wll need to do some sensitivity analysis.

Good luck

Breizh
