Hello All
The textbook definition of Liquid Critical Factor used in sizing control valve is
"The coefficient FF is the ratio between the apparent pressure in vena contracta in choked condition and the vapour pressure of the liquid at inlet temperature"
The equation used to find the factor is :
FF = 0.96 - 0.28*(sqrt(Pv/Pc)) {where pc is the critical thermodynamic pressure.}
Esteemed Members, requesting insight on how this final equation has been derived.
