Hello Dear Engineers,
I need separate two heterogeneous liquid liquid mixture(organic and water phase) In aspen hysys i have tried but 3 phase separator did not separate them and all stream throuhput same location.
if there's anyone knows? Can you help please

Don't be sad. May i know what components are you trying to separate?

make sure the mixture can separate at specified T, P and select the proper models (fugacity calc's),

for multiphase equilibria I adopt a different software (Prode Properties) but (with the same models and BIPs) you should obtain the same values with different simulators....

I cant do it still.My components are nitrobenzene, benzene, sulfiric acid, water. Liquid liquid heterogeneous mixture but didnt separate. I selected Nrtl but i dont know which package should be. And I dont understand BIPs means. I m very sad. I have to write a report in a few days but i cant find anything

if you are not an expert in phase equilibria maybe you can ask someone to do the work...

do you mean nitration / sulfonation or similar processes ?

That is not easy to model, you should know well models, Binary Interaction Paramenters (BIps) etc..

Thanks for your comments but i cant do it.I found some setting in fluid package and changed them.Binary coefficients parameters then gravity decanter/3 phase separator values are changed by aspen hysys but values not close real values. I searched but didnt find any data for decanter residues

The flow of NaOH and Na2SO4 is small actually
