I have a question regarding selection of nozzle type for a pressure vessel. I have seen lots of nozzle type can be used for vessel and type of nozzles are given below for your reference:

 

1.       Set in nozzle with pad

2.       Set in nozzle without pad

3.       Set on nozzle with pad

4.       Set on nozzle without pad

5.       Self-reinforcing nozzle

 

Grateful, if someone would give some guideline regarding selection of nozzle as per code.

 

Also I would like to know that whether calculation for nozzle has to be checked and passed as per UG-37  and  appendix 1-10" of ASME Section VIII, Div 1 or only one calculation is sufficient.
