Hi,

Can anyone point to a guide on how to calculate the membrane size required for a pevaporation unit?

My text-books and Google have led me to the point of calculating the molar flux.

Don't think it's relevant but it is for seperation ethanol-water through a pervaporation module from 86mol% ethanol to ~98.7mol%. The membrane will be PVA meaning the higher purity ethanol will be the retentate.

Regards
