Hello everyone

To do hazardous area classification in process plant as mentioned in IP-15 code, it is required to classify each petroleum product according to its flash point, which is usually determined from experiment but, in early days of process plant design, heat and material balance is the only document available which determines the physical properties of petroleum products.

is there any method to predict the flash point using heat and material balance?

is there any method to predict the flash point using Aspen Hysys?

Any help well be appreciated

thank you in advance
