The recent outage of this site brings to mind clearly that I owe a public expression of appreciation to the owners, operators, and contributing experts of Cheresources.com. This online resource has taught me invaluable practical lessons and I am a better engineer for it. Besides my being able to do a better job for my employer, Cheresources.com increases my career satisfaction in being a part of such a great profession. I am able to better appreciate the value of a competent engineer and the dangers of ignorance and engineering malpractice. Who can count how many industrial accidents have been indirectly prevented because Cheresources.com exists and improves the ability of those who use the site? Users of Cheresources.com take the knowledge gained here to teach others off line. I sincerely believe the world is a better place because of Cheresources.com.

 

I don't know what caused the recent outage, but as it continued so long, my biggest concern was missing the opportunity to express my gratitude to the contributors and behind-the-scenes leaders of this site. You have made a positive difference in my life and I thank you.
