Greetings,

I would really like to size a vapor recovery system using condensation as the recovery method.

Attached is the scheme of my proposed system, I would like to ask for inputs on :

- possible pumps ;

- Possible drawbacks of the system from someone who has used before and whatever you guys can help me with

Thank you

That's like designing a wheel. The system is widespread.

Hi ,

To get a proper answer you should use the Student Forum .

To me you should install the HX (condenser) before the pump to protect the pump .BTW which technology of vacuum pump do you consider ? liquid ring or dry ?

The pump should be in contact with non condensable or a minimum quantity of organic.

My view

I will read the guidelines and if possible,  ask this there.

The reason why I thought about installing a vacuum pump with no condenser before it is because I've read that vacuum pumps could be capable of pumping vapor.

I am considering liquid ring pump because of lower woking temperatures.

Well using non condesable is not possible because I am proposing the use of condensation as the means to recover vapor.

Thank you for your insights
