Greetings,

I would really like to size a vapor recovery system using condensation as the recovery method.

Attached is the scheme of my proposed system, I would like to ask for inputs on :

- possible pumps ;

- Possible drawbacks of the system from someone who has used before and whatever you guys can help me with

P.S. This is a university project, but the goal is to make the students go through all the steps of a real project.

Thank you very much kind sir, the paper attached is perfect for me.

Attached is the scheme, but as suggested on the other forum (link below) I'll change the pumps relative position to the HX unit.

My final paper will be in portuguese as it is the oficial language in my country (Mozambique), but I'll be sure to add to the forum all my calculations, simulations and other relevant material.

Again, thank you very much!

I'm a little confused: Do you want to condense the entire vapor stream coming from the gasoline loading station? What do you expect this vapor stream to consist of? Certainly there are non-condensables in it that will not turn into liquid

I do not aim to condense the entire vapor stream, because just lke you stated there are non-condenables in the stream.

However, I do expect to be able to condense a good chunk of the VOCs in the stream and thus obtain mostly light hydrocarbons in their liquid form so that they can then be mixed with gasoline in bulk tanks.
