As I understood that for good heat transfer to occur we have to design boilers on basis of nucleate boiling regime. In general for nucleate boiling delta T is between 10-30 C .My question is it possible to have nucleate boiling at higher delta such as 180-200 C also.

Hi Briezh,
Thanks lot for sharing the articles, which tells about operational issue involved when we move away from Nucleate boiling region for reboilers.
I have question regarding power plant oil/gas fired thermosiphon boiler,in which to we can see there will be high delta between hot side and cold side.So how do we have to manage the nucleate boiling delta T in those cases.
Thanks
Krishna

Hi,
I cannot offer more . You may use the search engine in this forum and check for Thermosyphon .
If the Delta T is big , you may vaporize the liquid with the consequences on the material (deterioration)
Good luck .
