How would you condensate the overhead product of a distillation vacuum column?
If a shell&tubes heat exchanger is used to condensate this flow would it be a problem dealing with the reduced pressure?

Pressure drop is a key parameter in vacuum condensers. Use design features that tend toward low pressure drops for vacuum shell side condensing such as baffles with maximum spacing and maximum cut. Or use double segmental baffles. Use large vapor nozzles. Use a generous tube pitch. Use large shells. Consider a J shell. Exchangers for vacuum condenser service need to NOT try to use all the pressure available as when designing for other services.
