Dear All

In our  re-generator for sweetening of Amine  the design flow for Amine circulation is 340 M3/hr so  re-boiler has been designed for this case. After start up we decreased  Amine flow to 150 m3/hr.

The low pressure steam is used in re generator by 160 C and 5.5 barg for design case is about 37 Tons/hr but after reducing the Amine flow the steam consumption is still 37 Tons/hr.

how we can reduce steam consumption?

Hi ,

Any issues with meter ?

What about the quality of the steam ? no change ?

what about the weir inside or the level within the reboiler ? Nothing wrong ?

What about the surface of the HX , Can it be coated with dirt ? additional resistance ?

Hope this going to help you .

Good luck

Breizh

What determines the steam flow? Which amine do you use? My recollection is that the regenerator steam flow is maintained based on the amine flow. You might give us a process sketch to show your controls.
