MAYDAY MAYDAY

to anyone who can help us !!

my group was assigned to design a flash drum separator, our feed flowrate is 7.9million kg/hr

we were advised to split the stream into multiple streams in order to obtain reasonable sizing

my question is what's the largest flash drum ever built ? i am looking after the range of diameters that a flash drum can be considered acceptable

your help is much appreciated, we're trynna graduate under lockdown.

I would say this is a useless exercise. Do a bit of work first, then ask about the sizing.

Hi ,

Consider the documents attached to support your work .  To me  your question is weird .Lack of information about your process (materials , pressure, temperature, composition ) to comment.

Bobby is right  , work as an engineer and show us your work , state the difficulties and your proposal .

Good luck

One should also consider the fact whether the separator will be constructed on the site or in the yard of the fabricator. Sometimes based on geographic location of the site there is limitation on the size of an equipment because of constraints in logistics.
