Hello everyone! 

 

I have a question for whoever wants to take a stab. 

 

Without getting too boring and detailed, a group of students is working on a project where we essentially have a trolley (or a sleigh, I guess) that is moving down a grass hill. Currently, it's velocity is too high and we need to slow it down a tad, or create friction with the grass.

 

Is there any ideas of what we could apply to the rubber underbelly of the sleigh in order to create friction with the grass? We were thinking of coating it with some sort of adhesive but have absolutely no idea what would "stick" to grass.

 

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I would leave the undercarriage alone, and add a braking system.

Perhaps add a drag anchor. A separate platform attached by rope with weights on it.

I agree with Latexman....add a breaking system
