Dear Professionals,

While going through CNG filling stations operations, I came across the term priority panels and storage skids having three banks i.e High pressure banks, Medium pressure banks and Low pressure banks.

While Filling the skid it is a general practice where the High pressure bank is filled first then the Medium pressure followed by Low pressure. However while transferring from Skid to Vehicles it is done the other way around which is Low pressure then Medium pressure and then High pressure.

can anyone explain the exact operational philosophy behind these filling procedures, since all the three pressure banks are maintained at the same pressure. what is the exact principle behind this operation?

Appreciate your contribution, thanks in advance.

regards,

Sanjay
