Hi to all,

1. During the blocked outlet scenario in group header and group separator (Two Phase), the outlet line of PSV connected to either flare header or closed drain?

2. For Indirect bath heater and Heat exchanger TSV is connected to closed drain but sometimes its connected to flare header. which one is correct?

Thanks

Thank for answer. one more doubt.

What if two phase blocked discharge case in connected to PSV, should i consider the flare load (during the header design and KOD) will be a two phase or only vapour wii get relief from PSV?

Hi,

The PSV relief will mostly be two phase but with the higher vapor rate than the incoming to PSV inlet; but as mentioned it will lead to closed drain system where in relevant drain drum the gas will be conducted to flare and the liquid to burn pit.
