Dear All expert

 

Our supper heated steam line, long 4 km have operating pressure 45 barg, temp 480 deg.C. It is too far from saturated temperature.

 

However, during normal operation(Not start-up period), we found some water condensate at steam trap of these lines many time.

 

What is possible cause of this issue?

 

Are there anyone have similar problem as my plant?

When steam contacts a surface that is below the saturation temperature, condensation occurs. The inside wall of your pipe is such a surface.

Just to add to Pilesar's answer, perhaps there is some insulation issue (old, missing, damaged) that is allowing a cold area to exist and allow for condensation.
