Hi,
I have simulated my reaction in Aspen Plus to see the temperature profile and this is what I have gotten back for results:
Before coolent was added the temperature profile looks like the attachment "Before coolent was added" and afterwards, I managed to lower the temperature to 350 degC, but there's a significant drop of temperature due to coolent temperature at 1-2m from the coolent inlet. May I ask if this is significant? Are there any consequences in reality if there is a sudden drop in temperature? My reaction is exothermic, so i thought that lower temp it's fine. However, I am not so sure.
Also, my molar flow for steam at 200C is very high, about 10200kmol/hr. Any suggestions to reduce water needed to keep temperature constant throughout the reactor?
