Hello Everyone,

In the aerospace industry, we tend to use terms low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure, and ultra-high pressure. I haven't come across any Codes (ASME, NB-23, API, CGA, etc)that explicitly state the limit of all pressure category.

The few that I was able to find, the limits are not consistent. For example, API-570 states high pressure as being greater than 150 psig, while ASME Section VIII, Div 2, implies very high pressure is greater than 10,000 psi.

is there a consensus on what limits are for each category?

There is no single set of universally recognized definitions.
The above sentence applies to any subject you select.
