i understand that resumes are supposed to be different now that they are mostly computer-read. I don't know the 'new' way to write a resume and I saw the resume of an engineering candidate I personally recommended get eliminated at the initial computer analysis before it was ever viewed by a hiring manager. My comments therefore may not be valid and are my own assessment as if I were reading a resume handed to me.

  1)  I don't have time to read all that. The sentences are long, the words are too big, and the font is too small. My impression is that the job-seeker cannot condense information and is more suited to writing academic reports than performing engineering tasks.

  2) Tailor the resume to the position and company you are targeting.

  3) State clearly that you are in school for a specific degree and when you expect to graduate.

  4) State clearly the time span you want to intern.

  5) Companies bring on interns to try them out for permanent hire later. State your career plans so they match with the company.

  6) Consider that your original post asking for resume feedback was short and effective. Why not use closer to that writing style when asking for a job?

Hi ,

At first , it's very difficult to read , too many words, sentences in a limited space .

You need to be more selective and insist on your role in the projects and research .

You need to attract the interest of the reader to hire you , to explain what are your objectives joining this company , why this company ( show your interest for this company , their business ), what could be their benefits to hire you , how you see you in 10 years time ( career path),.... .?

Good luck

Breizh
