Hi everyone,

I'm working on a distillation column simulation in HYSYS V12, and I need to replace the current reboiler with a thermosyphon reboiler. However, I'm unsure about the correct setup and parameters to modify.

Currently, the column is using a conventional reboiler, but I want to implement a thermosyphon system to better reflect natural circulation. How should I do it properly?

Hi,

What type of reboiler are you using right now and what is the application?

Probably you need to study the material attached .

Hi Breizh,

We currently used Kettle reboiler in Aspen HYSYS V12, but our costumer uses Thermosiphon reboiler. I want to know if there is a way to replace in HYSYS to Thermosiphon reboiler?

Hi,

Sorry I can't help with simulator.

Kettle reboilers and thermosyphon reboilers are different beasts.

Good luck

Breizh
