Dear rxnarang/ShaunHill,

I need to check if 950psi pressure drop across the compressor blowdown valve of size 6" is possible.
I checked using FLARENET and conclued not possible.

Upstream pressure of BDV1 and BDV2 = 1014psi
Downstream pressure of BDV1 and BDV2 required = 64psi
Downstream pressure of BDV1 and BDV2 possible = 701psi
So i added Orifice plates to acquire the required pressure drop. ( note: 1.5" throat diameter)

Please find attached the PFD and Report of Depressurization scenario and suggest me if anything else has to be done towards the process.

Data: 25MMSCFD through each valve.
6" lines
10" flare header
14" flare stack

Thanks
Suresh
