Hi Everyone,

Here I would like some hlep in form of guidance or study material. Is there any existing methodology in solving problems related to storage of refinery output in tanks and their transport through pipelines. This should help in arriving at an optimized schedule for production based on availibility of tanks and pipeline.

I am sure people have gone across this type of problems before. What is the right way to approach such problems?

Thanks in advance.

Well there is some software available. Often this software is having the problem of running much too slow. Refiners typical prefer excel sheets and own made tools to run the simple schedule.
