i am new to HYSIS
i want to try some book solved examples (MACABE-SMITH)
these involves general terms for process streams & utilities like crude oil, or product stream along with required properties given, in such cases how to define such components in HYSIS for modelling.

Hello RSK,

Oil Manager is Hysys procedure where crude oils and petroleum fractions should be characterized.
By providing various laboratory data - TBP distillation, Chromatography analyses, EFV data, together with light ends and bulk properties of your stream, Hysys performs pseudocomponent breakdown and gives you additional options for tuning final stream (assay). You can create as many assays you want, and then combine it into various blends.

This procedure is described in Hysys manuals, under the chapter "Oil manager".

Regards,
