Hi

We are basicaly a batch wise distilation operation, but a new project of ~70,000,000 L per year of petrol (1/3) diesel (2/3) is leading us to increase capacity.

Options considered are

1 Increase capacity/rate of curent batch systems via boil up rates, condesers/chillers.

2 semi-batch. Fill still and start refulx then take off, aiming to maintaine level in still by taking off top product (petrol) until still is X % full of diesel.
? of where to enter feed. Mid point in column (pre heated? or into still (pre heated)

3 Continuous distilation, i.e no still via reboiler. New area for us.

Any advice?
