sheikhmehdi,
You may have more success if you posted this query in the Industrial Professionals forum. It has nothing to do with simulation. Also note that the purpose of this forum is to help ALL users in seeking answers to problems. We share this information, and it is generally not appropriate to request a private response.

Selection of an appropriate strainer tends to be more a matter of experience more than anything else. One would tend to use what is currently in use in this or similar applications. I do not know a priori what size mesh works well in a bitumen pump suction line. I can tell you that I used 3/16inch openings in a recent Vacuum Tower Bottoms pump suction. That is a nasty service with the possibility of coke fines being present, so we had duplex (two in parallel) strainers. I know bitumen is a nasty service, but I don't know if it's that bad. 100 Mesh seems quite fine to me, but again it's a matter of experience.

Good luck,
Doug
