I am a new member of the ChE focum.
I just learned HYSYS from SAIT. This is the first time I have been given an assignment to model a well head gas composition. My supervisor provides me the following information:
anticipated products from 3-phase separator:
gas 4.2 mmscfd
oil 1370 bbl/d
water 30 bbl/d
P 1500 psi
T 80F
I already know lot of experts of this forum helping out one who is new in this profession.
Please help me come out with a solution of possible gas compositions.

Rafiq,
Welcome...
First of all, what is SAIT ?
Interesting...Your supervisor requested you to model wellhead gas composition base on flow information without knowing present of component and distribution. Your supervisor really give you a difficult stuff.
Where the wellhead gas coming from ?
Step 1 : Obtain gas composition. You may refer to previous project dry gas composition OR refer to nearby field dry gas composition.
Step 2 : Change Pressure and temperature of this composition (just call it FEED) until you get 2 phases.
Step 3 : Split FEED in 2 phase separator
Step 4 : Copy Vapor to new VAPOR stream
Step 5 : Copy Liquid to new LIQUID stream
Step 6 : Generate a WATER stream
Step 7 : Connect VAPOR, LIQUID & WATER to a 3 phase separator
Step 8 : Set the separator temperature and pressure as required.
Step 9 : Adjust VAPOR, LIQUID & WATER flow to obtain required flowrate as you wish.
The result will be your required composition.
Hope the composition give you some luck.

Thanks JoeWong, It's great to get your expert advice and mentorship.
SAIT stands for Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, a renouned polytechnic institute in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I am working on the guidelines you provided me and let you know and if you are also JW Haung, then thanks for your mail.

Dear,
Addition to Joe the only thing what you could get is either of the flow by adjusting the feed temperature and the flashing pressure. I hope that the configuration of your simulation model would be like you have a feed coming at certain pressure and temperature. Now I am not sure that weather you are heating your feed stream or not. If not then only one parameter you could vary is the pressure of the inlet line to 3-phase separator in order to obtain one of the flow. You could not have 3 flows as target values at the cost of one adjusted variable in Hysys. Another thing to add here is the separation in Hysys is 100% and the operation is with the zero degress of freedom so no variable you could give as specification. Waiting for your comments.
