I'm familiar with the site, but am new as a member. Mostly involved in agitator design and fabrication, I am looking at a methanol distillation question for a client.

In a first, acid stage biodiesel reaction, the recovered methanol contains such a high level of chemical water (40%) that the current vacuum distillation system cannot cope with it effectively. I propose a column still for recovery creating a 500 gallon batch system.

I am first looking for basic source data for the initial design parameters.
