ChE Assist -- Example

1.  An engineer (Ted) needs help in preparing ideas for plume abatement at their facility.  They have a couple of ideas, but would like assistance in evaluating the ideas and would also like to hear additional input into solving the problem.

2.  Ted decides to use ChE Assist and his supervisor approves $150 for a bid.

3.  Ted explains the situation in detail and completes the registration process at ChE Assist.  The ChE Assist staff conducts a search and finds another engineer with many years of experience in heat transfer and thermodynamics who feels that she can easily help Ted.  The solution provider agrees to the bid price that Ted as suggested.

4.  The solution provider evaluates the ideas that Ted has already constructed.  She informs Ted of an equally effective method of plume abatement at his facility and she estimates that the project costs should be nearly 25% less than the methods that Ted was considering.

5.  Ted agrees that the idea is certainly worth further investigation on his part.  After his own research, Ted decides that the recommended solution will indeed work quite nicely at his facility!
