Being a great Chemical Engineer will do you exactly no good if you cannot relay your work to others in a very concise and comprehendable manner. Also, keep in mind that no one really cares if you spent 3 days designing a tower and 5 days optimizing the process. They want to know what you found out and what you concluded from all of your hard work. Below you will find the presentation that I used for the design project "Acrylic Acid Unit 300". Notice that none of the slides contains an over-abundance of information and that there are frequent comparisons made between the base case and the optimum case. Although these slides are a little hard to read, yours shouldn't be....I just had to fit them onto this web site! These slides were contructed with Powerpoint from Microsoft. Finally, the optimized PFD should be shown during your presentation as well. You can see mine here! Good Luck in your presentation! |
