This excel workbook provides a simplistic method for sizing of an air vessel for surge or water hammer attenuation in long-distance pumped liquid pipelines. Surge or Water hammer can cause mechanical damage or rupture of pipelines. This may lead to serious consequences of release of pipeline contents to the surroundings due to rupture causing environmental and health hazards. Air vessels provide one of the simplest methods for protecting pipelines from damging water hammer effects. The refernce for the calculation method is provided in the excel workbook.

I need to check something if I would use a fotware to design the water hammer, so all the parameter in this sheet will be needed or less or may be i need more info
