Hey guys..

Ok, this is what i know about a reactor design for packed bed reactor..

I have to use the equation of dx/dw=-ra/fao...
The rate equation that i have is in terms of partial pressure..However its rate of reaction and not rate of dissapearance of Species A. Can this rate be used ?

Now to the specifics..
The inlet is at 380 Celsius and 23.5 bar..outlet is assumed to be 380 Celsius and 22.5 bar..
My confusion is on how to calculate my weight of catalyst ? I have to consider dy/dW as well since there is pressure drop?how do i solve this..THank you

Bali:

On a prior post, you state that you find our Website as most helpful. That's great, but are you reading the Forum threads - especially those in the Student Forum?? For example, my comment and response to this query is the same, identical one found in the following thread:

http://www.cheresour...ed-bed-reactor/

That should be your answer to the query.
