Hi All,
I have come accross "air entrainment" in cooling tower.
here I mean that :
air bubble, generated by the water falling at high velocity in the sump, are entrained in the system, via the cooling tower outlet pipe, which causes air lock and most importantly the heat exchange in one of the plate heat exchangers to be reduced.

In the cooling tower sump, There is a strainer pipes (aka anti vortex pipe) but it does not prevent the air bubble to be entrained in the system.

I need to find a solution for this. As someone come accross it.

Please note that I have been searching the internet extensively, so please refrain from sending me generic article on cooling towers.

Many thanks,
Regards,
