I doing a Manual design of API 650 tanks(Dome roof) for Gas oil.

The input is given as Design Pressure = ATM+(Internal Pressure=Column of Liquid 3m higher than the liquid level in the tank when filled)

Tank Height is 17m Diameter is 36m.

Design temp ; -6 deg.C to 85 deg.C

Filling rate of tank is 125 Kg/sec

How to calculate the Design and Operating Vapour pressure and vacuum pressure.

Calculate the TVP(True Vapor Pressure) of Crude oil. That becomes opearing Pressure. 1 bar absolute is the vacuum pressure.

Dhiren,

Thanks for your reply.

Is it possible to design a tank in API 650 with the above design Pressure.
