Hello.. i am currently doing my design project for the production of chlorobenzene. in designing a reactor, i need to know the rate law equation. i'm having a difficulties on that. can anyone help me on this?..thanks
chemical equation:
C6H6 + Cl2 ------> C4H5Cl + HCl
C4H5Cl + Cl2 --------> C4H4Cl2 + HCL
The information that i get from journal:
Rb=-k1Cb (Beck U. et al,2011)
Rm=k1Cb-K2Cm Beck U. et al,2011)
Rd=k2Cm (Beck U. et al,2011)
k1= 1 x 10-4 s-1 at 55°C (Beck U. et al,2011)
k2= 0.15 x 10-4 s-1 at 55°C (Beck U. et al,2011)
Whereby, b = benzene, m = monochlorobenzene, d = dichlorobenzene
i dont really understand..can it be in overall total rate law equation?
