Team,

If one is thinking of a chemical injection as an enhanced oil recovery technique, one would need a pilot plant to carry out the pilot trials.

Does anyone know how the pilot plant operates? What would be the major unit operations or processes? Are there examples of EOR (tertiary recovery) related pilot plants around the world?

Regards,

Felix

Felix,

Such trials must be done in the producing field. So you need lots of money.

Felix,

Your laboratory can conduct bench scale studies. If the bench scale studies are found effective, you can make your own pilot plant by scaling up. From what you said above, this should not be complicated,.
