Dear Forum Members,

I came across an excellent article in chemical engineering magazine with the title "Understanding Atmospheric Storage Tanks" dated April 2006. The article gives explicit calculation methods for normal venting and emergency venting due to fire for atmospheric storage tanks. The good part of this article is that it defines total inbreathing and outbreathing in terms of equations unlike the thermal venting capacity of tanks given as Table 2A and 2B in API 2000 with various tank capacities.

I took the liberty of preparing an excel spreadsheet based on the equations given in the article. Now I am trying to find out the author of the article (e-mail ID) so I can send him across the spreadsheet and take his authorization/permission to use such a spreadsheet. Unfortunately when I sent him e-mails on the e-mail ID published with his profile along with the article, the e-mails bounced back. The e-mail ID given in the profile was his professional e-mail ID and it is likely that this gentleman may have changed his organization. Maybe some of the forum members know this highly qualified gentleman and can provide his e-mail address.
