HI FRIENDS
I AM WORKING IN GAS COMPRESSION STATION.
I NEED SOME HELP ON FUEL FLOW IN PPH.
WE HAVE INSTALLED TWO TURBINE TYPR FLOW METERS WHICH PROVIDE ME FLOW IN "ACFM".
WE ALSO MEASURE AT THAT POINT THE TEMPRTURE AND PRESSURE.
NOW I AM DOING FOLLOWING
CHANGE ACFM TO SCFM AND THEN SCFH. THEN I MULTIPLY THAT VALUE TO THE DENSITY OF THE NATURAL GAS TO CONVERT IN PPH. AM I RIGHT WAY?
IF NOT PLEASE HELP ME ON THAT ISSU?
I GOT ERROR WHEN COMPARE WITH THE MANUFACTURE DATA I THINK DENSITY IS CHANGED WHEN PRESSURE AND TEMPRATURE ARE CHANGED HOW CAN I CALCULATE IT AT CERTAIN TEMPRATURE AND PRESSURE?
I AM VERY THANKFUL IF HELP ME ON THAT ISSU

Corrected English translation:
Hi friends,

I am working in gas compression station.

I need some help on fuel flow in pph (pounds per hour). We have installed two turbine-type flow meters that provide me the flow in “acfm” (actual cubic feet per minute). We also measure at that point the temperature and pressure.

Now I am doing following:

Change acfm to scfm (standard cubic feet per minute) and then scfh (standard cubic feet per hour). Then I multiply that value to the density of the natural gas to convert to pph. Am I doing it the right way?

If not, please help me on that issue.

I noted an error when comparing with the manufacture data. I think the density is different when pressure and temperature are changed. How can I calculate it at certain temperature and pressure?

I would be very grateful if you can help me on that issue.

Hi Javaboy,

Dowlooad this great freeware : http://www.katmarsof...com/uconeer.htm

it will support your query.
On the front page there is a blower , click on it .

By the way , using the PV=RT should solve your problem .
