Dear Sir, I am a chemical engineering graduate and working in a natural gas based petrochemical plant. I need to calculate "cracked gas compressor's efficiency". The problem that I m facing is, how to update the value of Cp/Cv (=k), considering the changes in gas's composition (undergoing compression). As u must know, we deal with a mixture of H2, CH4, C2H2, C2H4, C2H6, C3, C4......n so on (say....nearly 8 major components). Also we have got 4 compression stages, so 8 terminal...

I do have all T and P values, along with mole fractions of component gases. Now how to get individual Cp and Cv values of a gas (say CH4) at given T and P. Also, after getting Cp and Cv , what value I should consider in my calculations? "k" based on compressor stage's inlet conditions or outlet conditions?
