Hi

They told me that the consumption of Sodium hydroxide of a Bio-ethanol plant is approximately 1.2kg/kl Alcohol.
For purpose producing about 300000l/day. Let's work out.
300000l/day = 300kl/day, therefore we need 300*1.2=360kg/day of NaoH. Is that too high?
Is there anyone could confirm this formation?

For process: 1.2kg/kl Alcohol
For CIP : 1.2kg/kl Alcohol
What does CIP mean?

Provide a reference for your caustic value.

To my mind the value does not seem high assuming you have a caustic recovery system in place.

CIP is clean in place as previously stated.

Dear,
Why don't you ask them(they told me) who told you?
