hai there. can anyone could explain me how to calculate the steam consumption in ejector and booster? at this plant, they using three stage ejectors..

The attached article has a equation (english units) as given in the "Standards for Steam Jet Vacuum Systems" published by "Heat Exchange Institute" (HEI). The new standard now integrates the previous three separate standards on steam jet ejectors.

It would be better if you can get hold of the standard.

Hi!
I'm a project intern working on steam ejector. It requires me to suggest some ways by which steam consumption can be reduced, some mathematical model. Can anyone please help me in this regard?

Dear Art Montemayor

Hi I am currently working on existing vacuum system in my plant .The system have a water ejector followed by three steam booster .This system have problem of droping vacuum and the tempearture of water circulation for ejector incraseaese rapidly desite the cooling.The supplier compnay of this system is close down & there no one to contact .The system is new -1 yr old .If can sugget the remady forf problem it will be helpful .I am interested to have a copy of your work book on vacuum for sizing Ejectors.
