Hello everybody, while looking at different type of meters, i though i'd post my question here at the same time.

I'm required to figure out the best cost & effective way to measure Gas & Liquid from a test separator Gas & Liquid phase Outlet.

My main problem is the high turndown ratio, 18:1 on Gas & 55:1 for Liquid. I doubt there's many meter than can do such high ratio in a single run. As such hope can get some recommendations on type of meter to be used.

I'm considering junior orifice for Gas & Coriolis for Liquid.

I would like to avoid Ultrasonic due to the high maintenance cost.

I wouldn't choose Ultrasonic meter - production streams are commonly loaded with significant amount of solids and the Ultrasonics will not work properly. Coriolis could do the job, Magnetic meters as well. We have such installed in the Offshore test separator.

As for the gas, orifice can be used if you don't expect a lot of dirt in the gas stream. To avoid any risks, you can opt for V-cone since it has reasonable resistance to dirty environments and rangeability up to 15 or 20:1
