Dear All,

Attached is the June issue of Chemical Engineering Economic Indicators page.

I was wondering how can we apply CEPCI and CPI and the other index to an equipment price estimate calculations..... more over how can we interpret all those index values?

Thanks in advance

Kybele,

I haven't used CEPCI or CPI for equipment costing. But I do know that the book:

"Plant Design & Economics for Chemical Engineers" by Peters & Timmerhaus

is a good reference for costing of various types of equipment in the chemical process industries. I have used it for my costing purposes.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Ankur.

I second Ankur's recommendation. I have used Peters & Timmerhaus quite a bit.

Good Luck,

Jason
