Hi all,
I'm interested in being able to calculate the liquid volume of a partially filled inclined vessel. Does anyone have any tools available that they'd be willing to share or point me in the correct direction if the tools are available on-line? Thanks for your help.
Doug

Doug:

Go to:

http://www.xcalcs.com/

On the left-hand menu list, click on Vessels - Volumes - Sloped.

They have 3 vessel head options that you can select:

Dish --- which is for a vessel with dished heads
Ell ------ which is for a vessel with ellipsoidal heads
Emisph ----- which is probably a typo and means a vessel with hemispherical heads.

I hope this helps you out.

Art,
I suspected you'd come through with an answer for this one. I went to the website, followed your suggestions, and got my answer. (Now what am I going to do with all this free time?)
Thanks,
Doug

Doug:

Now you can catch up on reading all the Wolverine Engineering Databook volumes regarding heat transfer. This stuff is good for killing boredom and leisure time.

Have a good day.
