I have to sizing a heating system in a batch distillation !!!
How can i do to sizing a coil in which flows the condensing steam?????
The total heat to transfer is about 105000 kJ/h=29160 W=25080 kcal/h and the steam pressure is 2 bar.
The temperature of boiling liquid is about 75 °C!!!!
i'm desperate!!!!!... i tried to follow the design procedure in coulson and richardson, but the value of thermal load is more than 5% of critical load!!!!
I would say the correct procedure to design the coil!!!!!!1
Thank in advance
Best regards
p.s. sorry for my english

Hi ,

Let you try to get a copy of Process heat transfer from D.Kern.
An other possibility is to explore the Cheresources forum (search button) or Free articles
Hope this helps
