Help:
Nitrogen generation process simulation

Dear All,

I´m plannig to simulate a process which takes air and finally Iwill obtain nitrogen. I don´t know the equipment that I need to simulate the process in HYSYS, really I only know basic things of HYSYS.

Could any of you help me with information, books, etc.

Best regards,

Betty,

How anyone can simulate a process if there is no basic information about the technology used, and the equipment configuration? It's shooting in the dark.

You can do a small research on the internet and see what technologies are available for Nitrogen production from air: Membrane permeation, Cryogenic distillation, and Pressure-swing adsorption being commercially available processes. Essentially, only the cryogenic distillation of air can be truly simulated in Hysys.

See attached files for preliminary information.

Thankyou,
I am going to deal with cryogenic distillation of air that can be truly simulated in Hysys.

I didn't find more equipment!

Could You clarify more!?

In the Cryogenic Air Separation.pdf_ page 7_ there is only Separation columns

There's a basic flow scheme on pages 14-15, and you could consider the section downstream of the Mol Sieve unit for your model.

Also look at the following links:

Also look at the COCO/ChemSep sample PDF below.
